ISASS Names New President, Dr. Frank Phillips, MD

Frank Phillips, MD, named President of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ROSEMONT, IL, March 16, 2020)  Frank Phillips, MD, was named president of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery during the Annual Meeting on Feb. 26, 2020 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan. Dr. Phillips is the director of the section of minimally invasive spine surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and is a pioneer in minimally invasive and motion-sparing techniques for spinal procedures. ISASS20: Puerto Rico update

The southern part of Puerto Rico has been hit by a series of earthquakes this past week. We are thinking of the people of Puerto Rico as they deal with this incident, and we are closely monitoring the situation to see how it might impact our meeting next month in San Juan. San Juan is in the northern part of the island and has not been impacted by the earthquake.
