A Message from Richard Assaker, MD
ISASS12 MIS Program Chair
Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,
In my role of MIS program chair I look forward to meeting you at the Barcelona 12th ISASS meeting from 20 to 23rd of March.
For the last decade MIS surgery has expanded to become a part of our standard practice. Naturally, these recent adopted technologies still require evidence supporting their reliability, efficiency and safety. Let's all take this unique opportunity that ISASS offers to us, to debate, discuss and share our knowledge.
Out of more than a hundred submitted abstracts we selected the most relevant ones in order to list all the aspects of MIS. Accesses and related techniques will be discussed. Three sessions including 36 presentations for a duration of 5 hours are specifically dedicated to MIS. The pros and cons of MIS compared to conventional techniques will be highlighted.
Hope I have raised your interest in attending the MIS sessions and looking forward to meeting you in charming Barcelona and sharing with you interesting and fun moments.
Richard Assaker, MD
MIS Program Chair
