A Message from Lisa Ferrara, PhD and Leonard Voronov, MD, PhD
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
A very warm welcome is extended to everyone who is planning to attend the ISASS12 Meeting in Barcelona, as well as to all our colleagues around the world.
ISASS annual meetings reflect the pursuit of excellence through a commitment to superior research at both the basic and clinical science levels. Attendees are enriched by the highest quality oral and poster presentations, instructional course symposiums, and courses in basic and clinical sciences.
One of the primary missions of ISASS12 is to educate our clinicians and scientists on novel technologies and the latest advancements in basic science with special emphasis on high quality research. An exciting program has been planned for ISASS12. Highlights of the scientific program include such topics as:
- Advancements in Minimally Invasive Surgery
- Clinical and Biomechanical Strategies for Novel Fixation Systems
- New Technologies for Spinal Care, and
- Evidence Based Medicine.
Please join us for the World Café sessions where attendees from around the world will acquire case-based learning experience. World Café is a new and innovative collaborative approach to learning. The World Café is an intensive round table discussion program during which participants will confer and strategize on treatment options and protocols for a series of challenging case studies. After mixed rounds of discussion, the entire group gathers to share and explore emerging outcomes, insights and strategies.
A Hands-on Cadaveric Bioskills lab (space is limited, register today to reserve your lab position) will also be offered at the meeting with a program emphasizing current concepts for the treatment of spinal disorders with top surgeons as instructors.
Of course, there will also be podium presentations, regular posters and oral posters. 370 presentations at ISASS12 will highlight original research in pathologies, interventions, cutting edge technologies, and recent research trends of interest to all those who care about spinal disease. The Program Committee has done a spectacular job of creating an insightful and exciting curriculum that should be appealing to clinicians, basic scientists and allied health professionals.
Register and make hotel reservations today. Time is running out.
